THANK YOU to all our friends and supporters who generously contributed and helped us to exceed our fundraising goal during GIVE MIAMI DAY! The Gwen Cherry Park Foundation was one of the 406 charitable organizations chosen to participate in GIVE MIAMI DAY.
GIVE MIAMI DAY is a 24 hour period where The Miami Foundation partners with various charities and non-for-profit corporations providing them a platform to raise funds for their cause. The Miami Foundation provides a partial match for the funds raised.
Thankfully, this fundraising opportunity came just in time to cover the budget of our upcoming “Annual Christmas Festival and Toy Give Away” for the children at the NFL YET Miami at Gwen Cherry Park. The Festival is a full day filled with fun, food and festivities for nearly 500 children, ending with a stroll through the Gwen Cherry Park Foundation’s Toy Room. There every child in attendance selects a new unwrapped toy from the many on display grouped by age.
