As a result of a $25,000 dollar grant given to the Parks Foundation from the UPS Foundation, the Gwen Cherry Park has 50 new trees planted. Volunteers from UPS helped plant the trees on October 29, 2016.
Gwen Cherry Bulls Pee Wee and Jr. Midget Football teams are BOTH winners of the Pop Warner National Championship. The teams faced Pee Wee and Jr. Midget teams from the Virginia Mustangs and won their games 30 – 0. It is the first time in the Bulls history that two teams won a national championship in the same year. Congratulations to the members
Two Gwen Cherry Bulls dance teams competed in the 2015 National Pop Warner Cheer & Dance Competition. The Jr. Pee Wee dance team placed 5th of the 10 teams participating on the national level. The Midget dance team also scored well in the national competition. This year was the first year that the Gwen Cherry Bulls had any dance team compete at the national
